Security

The Security Office supports the Utah State University Research Foundation (USURF) and its business units in physical, personal, and classified security. Security procedures followed by USURF include the use of picture identification and electronically coded badges to control access to our facilities. We also require visitors to sign the visitor’s register and to provide valid identification and proof of citizenship.

Additional security information regarding tours, unclassified visits and classified visits follow:

Unclassified Visits

Unclassified visits are arranged through a point of contact at USURF. Visitors sign in at the front desk, where they receive temporary visitor badges. The receptionist notifies the USURF point of contact of the visitor’s arrival.

Classified Visits

All classified visitors must fax a valid visit authorization letter to:

Visitor Control
Attention: Jordan Baxter
Fax: (435) 750-6599
Phone: (435) 797-4612

When a visitor who needs to attend a classified meeting signs in at the front desk, the receptionist verifies that a visit authorization letter is on file, issues a temporary visitor badge reflecting the appropriate level of clearance, and notifies the USURF point of contact of the visitor’s arrival.
